1. In North Northamptonshire, England, there is a sizable village and civil parish called Broughton. The A43 road bypasses the settlement, which is located around 2 miles (3.2 km) south-west of Kettering. There were 2,208 people living in the parish as of the 2011 Census.

A portion of a 12th century Norman aisleless church, featuring the restored south doorway with colonettes, scallop capitals, and zigzags, is incorporated into the church (St. Andrew), which is mostly early 14th century (although the chancel was actually rebuilt in 1828). The town is home to numerous illustrious Jacobean homes.
