How to prepare for your carpet clean

How to Prepare for your
Carpet Cleaning Service

1. Parking

Kindly ensure that there’s accessible parking at your residence, whether it’s on your driveway or directly outside on the street. Our team carries heavy equipment, so proximity to your property greatly facilitates our efficiency and service

2. Declutter the Area:

Start by removing all small items from the floor such as toys, shoes, and other personal belongings. This not only clears the way for the cleaner but also ensures that smaller items don’t get lost or damaged.

3. Move Furniture:

Shift lightweight furniture out of the area to be cleaned. For heavier items, consider using furniture sliders or asking for assistance. If certain pieces can’t be moved, place protective plastic under their legs to prevent damage from moisture. If furniture is not moved our team will clean around it. If you want our team to move furniture such as sofa’s it is charged at an additional £20 per room

4. Vacuum:

Before the professional cleaning, give the carpet a thorough vacuuming. This will remove surface dirt, dust, and hair that can get in the way of a deep clean.

5. Secure Pets:

Ensure pets are in a safe location away from the cleaning area. This prevents them from walking on wet carpets and ensures their safety from cleaning equipment and products. Our machine sits outside your property so please ensure pets are away so they cant escape out of the open door.

6. Ensure Clear Path:

Make sure there’s a clear path from the entrance of your home to the carpeted area being cleaned. This allows the technicians to easily bring in their equipment without any obstructions.

7. Remove Obstacles:

Remove any low hung pictures and ornaments that could get knocked off walls by the technicians during the clean. Whilst the technicians will be as carful as possible, accidents do happen so it’s better to be safe than sorry.

8. Prep Yourself:

It’s recommended to stay off freshly cleaned carpets for a certain amount of time to avoid soiling them or making them overly dirty again. Consider planning an outing or another room to hang out in while the carpets dry.

9. Ventilate the Room:

If weather permits, open windows around your property to help with drying… The better the ventilation is the quicker the carpets will dry.

10. Final Check:

Walk through the space once more before the technician arrives to ensure you haven’t missed anything and that everything is in place for the carpet cleaning.
